FB makes no mention of the Accel World Characters. Story also takes place after HR, however this is non-conan to the game's stories. Most people consider this to be the third best in the series, behind HR and Fatal Bullet. AWvSAO fixed alot of the problems people had with Lost Song and added new stories to the world of ALO. What isn't broken don't fix it right? While Lost Song was herald by the community as the worst in the series, Lost Song in Japan was actually decently recieved. Multiplayer - Open world boss fights and exploration, however unlike the first two, you must complete singleplayer to unlock alot of mutliplayer aspects.Īccel World Vs Sword Art Online - To say this is just Lost Song but with Accel World and updates to gameplay would be pretty accrute. With the story taking place after Lost Song, you will be at a loss as to who some of the characters are and miss some references. Where ReHF felt like FFXI, HR feels like FFXIV, the successor to FFXI. Gameplay wise it's very much like ReHF except faster pace and more action sytle combat, however it still feels like an MMO not a hack and slash. The systems are very much similar to SAO as it was created to be a prequel to the death game. Unlike ReHF you start at level 1, so you're able to expereince this new game along side the characters as it takes place in a new VRMMO, Sword Art: Origin.

Hollow Realization - Herald as the best SAO game in the series by many. (I haven't done mutliplayer during my time with it on PS4) Coop Dungeons and Coop boss fights as well as pvp. Multiplayer - However despite it being considered the worst in the series, the multiplayer is somewhat herald as being one of the best in the series. It's considered the worst in this series of games (Not my opinion just the mass opinion) It also takes place after the events of ReHF so while you can play Lost Song before ReHF, you won't get alot of the references or know who Phillia or Strea is. Unlike ReHF and HR, you can play characters other than Kirito (though you cannot edit what he looks like in Lost Song) It takes place in ALO. Lost Song - This one feels like a hack and slash but as a skill based system as well as a magic system. Multiplayer - You can complete hollow missions and grind out your gear/levels with friends/online players while completeling Implement Elements. Best way to put it, is ReHF is FFXI the first MMO Final Fantasy You can freely learn whatever weapon you want, but you do start with dual wielding. You start at level 100 and things seem expensive, this is because it's very late into the game. Re: Hollow Fragment - Basically this one takes play in actual Sword Art Online, you work to floor 100 from floor 76 with the group.

(I own them alll except lost song on pc, which I own them all on PS4 as well) Since you don't want fatal bullet I'll break each of the games down for you. That's my only gripe with it, once you get the Lost Song Weapons, there isn't much reason to keep playing unless it's just for fun.

Lost Song is the only one of the games without an Infinite Dungeon (assuming Fatal Bullets was added, it was iffy, but seemed one of the DLCs was to add one). It's fun to play, but maybe a bit too easy once you learn the system and realize that you'll need to grind a little as you go. It's my favorite Looter Shooter but I haven't had a lot of time to dedicate to it yet. I prefer it over Lost Song only because it has a much larger End-Game, but otherwise they are the same game and I swap them up depending on what I want to do.įatal Bullet is, essentially, their version of The Division or Destiny. Accel World continues on this and adds more stuff. I still play it and I love it, it's my go to when I feel like I need some PSO in my life.

It plays like an older Phantasy Star Online game and once I got in that mind set, I hit a groove and played it non-stop for months. I picked it back up a year later and gave it another shot. It was clunky and just overly awkward to play. I bought it the day it hit and played for 8 hours, couldn't stand it. Lost Song was a tough one for me to swallow at first.

RE: Hollow Fragment is an awesome MMORPG simulator and HR picks up where it left off, modernizing it slightly but not making it super casual and dumb. However, the games are special - very, very great games and they all bring something new to love to the table. Want to start by saying I can't stand the stories, anime, or the light novels.
